Summary: After 15 years of friendship, the pragmatic Lev and the romantic Nadya come to the conclusion that they should start a family together, and no love is no disqualification. But an angel descends to earth fom heaven to prevent it, because marriages are made in heaven.
The angel takes on the form of an artist and a soothsayer who finds soulmates for lonely people. Instead of Lev he draws another person for Nadya. Lev is upset and infuriated, and Nadya, always a romantic, actually believes that her true love is probably somewhere out there, so she decides to take her chance and find him before the day comes of her wedding with Lev, which might be a mistake. And alas! Lev is the first to find the guy, and tries to get rid of him, but Alexey is persistent: he is in love and keeps looking for Nadya. In the end, the lovers will find each other. And Lev will find his intended in Anna, an employer of the civil registry office where he had planned to register his marriage with Nadya.
